Hi, I’m Ewen. I help businesses and brands sell.

I have the experience of working with respected UK agencies on top brand names, but I prefer working with small to medium sized businesses.

Why? Because frankly, things become more important. When it’s your baby, it’s your neck on the line.

I've created identities and developed brands for online news media resources & web-based companies, large corporate events and small-to-medium sized businesses.

I've also developed and helped manage the delivery of complex packaging designs (with accompanying marketing matériel) for a couple of internationally-renowned brands.

2007 — PEA is a small but productive North Eastern event organiser and developer

2004 — Headfunk was a Camden-based company involved in market stalls

2004 — The Camden Mushroom Company was Britain's best-known mushroom selling brand back in 2005

2008 — Mojo was a brand of 'herbal incense' sold outside of the UK

2008 — Pyro was a brand of 'herbal incense' sold outside of the UK

2008 — Sumo was a brand of 'herbal incense' sold outside of the UK

2007 — Kratom Spirit was a range of bio-tropic tinctures with mild cerebral effects

2006 — Mycosphere was a company that offered mycological laboratory and cultivation supplies and kits

Having being heavily involved in the web sphere for over a decade, I am fully conversant with the technologies a modern business needs to get the most from the internet. I've been around long enough to know what works and what's pointless gimmickry.

Don't get me wrong though — I like fancy, so love JQuery, content management, eCommerce and Flash, in a form indexable by Your Favourite Search Engine ™

My focus is on quality, maintainable product, executed professionally and with the minimum of fuss.

2009 — Amco Construction
Full Content Management System with complex JavaScript and AJAX interaction.

2011 — WIP — Lantern restaurant, using inline fonts with slick JQuery interaction, whilst Wordpress takes care of content management

2010 — Laser/Make
Extensive use of JQuery for succint content delivery through a minimal interface

2004 — RIP. the Psyche Deli
Full e-commerce and partial Content Management system hidden in a very friendly and characterful site.

2007 — CLASE FINE ART
Simple 'DIY CMS' php approach, with full XML gallery and complex JavaScript interaction.

2004 — RIP. Mycosphere
Full e-commerce and content management system with a very ordered, typical shop front end.

2009 — BRONWEN TYRELL
Simple wee site for an artist friend, using all her own assets and art over subtle JavaScript interaction.

This section's a little anæmic at the moment, I'm afraid. I'm currently tracking down physical examples of more works to photograph.
